Maintenance and Cleaning

Over time, the surfaces of Théo Mineault Inc. products will collect a layer of dust. Normal dusting with a damp cloth will remove this accumulation of surface dust. If you wish to do more thorough cleaning, please follow the instructions below.

Vinyl: DO NOT use any ammonia-based cleaning sprays. A mild solution of liquid cleaners such a dishwashing detergent may be used. For stubborn stains, a cleaner such as Fantastic or VIM may be used. Do not use harsh abrasives on vinyl.

Hardware: DO NOT use products with ammonia, lemon, etc. as these products can be corrosive. Lubricate after cleaning or yearly for better operating results.

Weather Stripping: Weather stripping may become worn over time, and should, if necessary, be replaced. Loose or worn weather stripping is one of the primary reasons for the heat loss and air leaks. Weather stripping may be purchased at any window company selling replacement parts.
