For cabinets manufactured by Théo Mineault Inc. effective January 1^st, 2010

Cabinet Components – 2 Years, Parts and Labour

Théo Mineault Inc. guarantees all the components of its products against manufacturing and installation defects for two years from the date of purchase, when used under normal conditions.

Prémoulé Countertops, PVC Doors and Polyester Doors – 5 Years

The manufacturers of Prémoulé postformed countertops, PVC doors and polyester doors warrant that, for a period of 5 years from the date of purchase and under normal usage conditions, the quality of their products will not be affected by premature yellowing, delamination or any other apparent or hidden defect which would result in premature deterioration, with the exception of the laminate’s finish. This guarantee applies solely to materials and does not include installation charges. In addition, this guarantee shall be null and void where damages are caused by exposure to high temperatures.

Finish of laminate surfaces – 1 year

The suppliers of laminate warrant for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase and under normal usage conditions the finish of their product.

Innotech Drawer Slides and Hinges – Lifetime Guarantee

Théo Mineault Inc. warrants that the Innotech drawer slides and the hinges will remain in good operating condition for the life of the product when used under normal conditions. This guarantee applies solely to materials and does not include installation charges.

Warranty Application

Théo Mineault Inc. will, at its discretion, replace or repair a defective part with an identical or equivalent product for the term of the guarantee, insofar as the part is still available from the manufacturer. Where the part may no longer be available, Théo Mineault Inc. will make reasonable efforts to obtain a replacement product. The guarantee shall remain in effect provided that care and cleaning practices have been followed (see section on “Care and Cleaning”).

Claim Procedure and Conditions

Any claim made under the aforementioned guarantee must be in writing and accompanied by proof of purchase. Notification must include the name of the Théo Mineault Inc. product involved, a short description of the defect, the name and address of the owner and the date of installation. Please allow Théo Mineault Inc. a reasonable period of time to review the claim. Théo Mineault Inc. reserves the right to reject any unjustified claim.

Exclusions

The following is a list of exclusions from the above guarantees:
• product deterioration resulting from abuse;
• infiltration of water or any other liquid that could cause swelling;
• appearance of wooden door assembly joints when finished with opaque or semi-opaque colours;
• labour charges associated with the installation of any component two years after the date of purchase;
• adjustments, corrections or damages resulting from improper installation by a person other than a duly authorized representative of Théo Mineault Inc.;
• any cabinet or cabinet component repaired or altered by a person other than a duly authorized representative of Théo Mineault Inc.;
• any defect, poor operation or failure caused by unreasonable use, improper application or lack of reasonable or necessary care;
• any damage to cabinets or their components caused by structural settling or defects in the building in which the cabinets were installed;
• any damage caused by natural disaster, wilful acts, accidents, negligence or exposure to harmful chemical products or pollutants.

The aforementioned represent the sole explicit verbal and written guarantees applicable to Théo Mineault Inc. products. No other person is authorized to issue a different or supplemental warranty.
